When I got the plant it was in a tiny planter so I removed and put in one about twice the size(still not huge). My brother told me it should not be taking this long for that new leaf to open. Any help would be appreciated. I can attach pictures in the morning.

Hi ,Hyper
yeah.....this tropical plant needs lots of tropical conditions to thrive....real pain in the a$$.

There are some good tropical plant youtube vids (which apply to bananas)
that have info you can take away and use.

If you are real serious ...check out some of the cannibis forums ....the method is the same to grow both plants. Untitled by Hostafarian, on Flickr
