I am trying to see if I can revive my container grown banana from last summer. I should mention, I live in zone 6. I cut it down in the Fall and let it dry out, removing all of the soil from the roots. I placed it in our garage which is insulated, but not heated, and dark most of the time. We are heading to Florida for three months right after the new year. We are flying down so I would like to package up the corm and send it so I can try reviving it in a pot on our deck in Florida. I should mention that the banana also had three pups when I cleaned it up. Since it is dried out, should I just put it in some peat and mail or UPS it? When we get to Florida, can I just put it in a pot on my deck and hope for the best? Thanks.
