There are several other varieties of banana plant that are referred to a 'ice cream' ... Even an Orinoco sub variety, a Namwah sub variety and other Asian banana varieties. This is part of the confusion of the "Ice Cream" banana is the use of a local nick names. ... But which ones have good vanilla flavor I don't know. A most of these are called 'ice cream' due to the creamy nature of the nana rather than its flavor.
