I like the photos I've seen of the village and surrounding area.

It appears you could not grow fruiting bananas outdoors all year. Instead they'd need to be in large pots. Most months the pots would be outdoors all day. In the winter months the pots would need to be moved indoors each night for protection, then moved back outdoors in the morning. We call this "the banana shuffle".
