I would think that climate conditions during the growing season would be just as important as the winter lows in regards to getting fruit. For instance we have hot and humid weather with rainfall year round. Our growing season is from mid Febuary through mid December.

Yes.Longer your growing season the better. The more heat and humidly you have(plus watering) the better they will do. And should produce more bunches. I have always thought that heat/sun and humidly are the key to banana growing.
