I've actually got a Coco De Mer nut; I brought it back with me when I visited there in 1999. You have to have a licence to export each nut from the country, only 4,000 are harvested each year and the majority of those are shipped to India where the pulp is extrated and used to make a liqueure. My nut has pride of place in my WC!
