Default Re: Weird spots on flesh of my first harvested sweetheart banana

The wiki said desser, but doesn’t really matter. I was hoping it would taste good.
When should I harvest it? Early or wait for completely yellow?

Also the brown spot doesn’t seem hard just soft brown discoloration going into the fruit so not just on the surface but going into the flesh. It also can get bigger going into the flesh so doesn’t make the banana look very appealing... it is very different from the normal brown discoloration a banana has that got bumped. Almost look like powder when cutting through the banana. Weird I have been growing bananas for 8 years and never seem this before.

I live in Dallas and the lowest temp we have got so far is 64 so it can’t be cold related...
