So having said this, do not trim banana plants like palm trees. Only yellow or brown leaves go, never anything green. All green is needed for a proper photosynthesis and to fill in banana fruits.

Thanks. I sincerely appreciate the advice. Without trying to sound boastful...I have the Palm/cyad game dialed in...I’ve saved specimens that were on the brink of death...trees from others yards that didn’t look remotely salvageable are thriving in my yard now...they were eager to have me remove them and now want them back lol.
I’m learning quickly that bananas are an entirely different creature. Love the challenge...and I’m thankful for such a great resource that this group is!
