I understand that they should be brown to eat but decided to test a yellow one with a few spots. Uckkk! Not that I have actually eaten one but it tasted like a dusty, raw potato. I guess I will have to wait another week.
I'm use to waiting about two-three days to consume an avocado but waiting ten - fourteen days between purchase and consumption of a manzano is ridiculous. How does Chiquita plan to sell much of these things? Consumers who eat this thing (probably a high percentage are Mothers purchasing for their toddlers) when its yellow are going to be very disappointed.

Awesome!.....If you want or next time, put them inside in a paper bag with an apple!......It will speed up the ripen process!.....
