A common practice is....to cut the stem to promote root and pup production.
And sometimes it seems crazy drastic.....but these are bananas and that is what we can do. OUCH.

Just in case you have to bring in a few plants in. from the cold spell Just cut them to make them fit the Lanai.
My parents do this in Naples when cold.
And i will do it as well .


The cool part about this is your plants do not really care.....keeps on going.

Now for the short cut....... this works with shipping your large corm and is common practice.

Put the corm in a pot and grow it like an amaryllis
