Default Finally a sugarloaf pineapple!

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to share pictures of my sugarloaf pineapple that is showing a flower after about 2.5 years of growing from a top! My first time growing one too!

Two weeks ago, the plant leaves turned really red and I thought i was going to die since its early spring and I put it outside. Well, looks like it was just flowering .

Can any pineapple experts tell me any secrets? Does anyone trim the plants or do anything special? I just watered and misted the plant weekly indoors and put it outside once the temperatures were above 40F at night.

Regards

Erik
