Default Re: Musa (AA group) 'Kluai Leb Mu Nang'

From what I've read the Kluai Leb Mu Nang is a Sucrier type AA banana. Short and round and very sweet. Also called Pisang Mas or Kluai kui. From what I hear it is a broad name and there is 4 or more different similar types grouped into the name.

I just received 3 "chicken egg bananas" from a friend direct from Cambodia. Mine are only a foot tall or so but I can't wait to watch them grow and see how they do. It's a very exciting banana to grow for me and I'm excited to see how fast they fruit. Hopefully they will be somewhat short cycle like veinte cohol which they are very closely related.

They are an AA type so I'm betting they will be very very cold sensitive like most AA types. Under 40-50F they will try to go dormant and easily die to the ground at around 32F.
150+ Varieties!!. See profile for list. Help me add more!
