Using "light" soil (soilless mix) and a plastic pot will mean your plant is easier to move. I don't need pots here so I don't have your issues. An SDC will require much more than a 6" pot if you want fruit as I'm sure you do. Hopefully others in colder climates will chime in and help you more than I can.

Welcome! Nice to see another woman on the forum--not sure why but we double Xs are rare here.
