My musella was bought from Triple Oaks in New Jersey as a 5 gallon plant in 2006. I grew it for a year in a large pot and planted it in the ground Spring 2007. In November 2006, I noticed the potted plant kept getting smaller and smaller leaves and that the top of the pseudostem was swelling. I let it go dormant in the garage for that winter. Then in Spring 2007, I planted it in the ground, and she rewarded me with all these blooms. Maybe it was stressed in the pot that forced it to produce so many flowers. I just hope it is a genetic trait of this individual plant. I guess time will tell! I'll keep you all posted.
