Wow! I only buy bananas once in a blue moon because Chiquitas don't inspire me and they have to be very unripe or I can't eat them but I refuse to pay more than 55 cents a pound for them no matter where I live. Okay, that's wrong, I've paid $1.29/lb for little ones just so I could taste them. Plantains I purchase 5 for $1.00. So strange to me that bananas are imported to Hawaii.
