What stock market crash? If my North American stocks had at average performed
as well as the two Chinese stocks, I bought in mid April as defense against the demise
of the USD, I would be richer now.
When looking at the Chinese markets, you have to consider, that those markets are
relatively young and the vast majority of their investors are still novices, which have
little or no experience with the vicissitudes of the market. If it goes down for a few
consecutive sessions they panic and sell out. When it starts rising again, they will hop
back on the bandwagon and drive the prices up beyond sound reason.
Rest assured, that the economy underlying the Chinese stock exchanges is, although
no longer growing at almost double digit rates, a lot more sound than the US
economy.
Although the Russian Ruble is temporarily in decline, I see no such thing happening
with the Yuan.
Russia, now supported by China, will profit significantly from high speed rail corridors,
(up to 3 of them) the Chinese are planning from their country all the way to the EU,
the first one going right through southern Russia. These corridors will line up the countries
in between like pearls on a necklace, opening them up for trade and with it some of
the planet's richest deposits of natural resources.
