the papaya in the background is a solo sunset. it has plenty of fruit on it, but they are on the small side (about the size of a mini football, but shaped like a bowling pin). i read that they are supposed to be small, but i didn't think they would be that small. i have a maradol on the same feeding regimen that have fruit closer to the size of a regular football. i also have a sunrise that has small fruit but they are much fuller (mini basketball size).
We have tons of volunteer papaya, birds drop the seeds everywhere... talls, dwarfs, giants, smalls, seeded, seedless. I've been keeping track of a tiny dwarf with some giant fruit and should know soon if it's worth keeping.
