Default Atlanta/Georgia folks... Is it time yet?

Last year my wife and I started with our first bananas. We dug some up from my parents in Florida.
I have about 150 pounds worth of corms and 5 plants that I potted and brought inside over the winter.
I am guessing that we might have another cold snap so I am still not yet moving the plants outside but can the corms go in the ground yet?
If we get a quick freeze will it kill them? I dont know exactly what they are but I do know that they produce fruit. Is it time yet or do I need to wait until April?
