Default Re: I'm from 3rd world Britain -treat me gentle

Thank you for the welcome. For the last five years I have had a desultory attempt at growing a variety of bananas from seed with about a 10% germination success.
This year I have sown 3 seeds of the following varieties all on Dec 12th. 2005 under the best conditions I can provide .The seed has come from 3 different suppliers hence the dupication .
FWIW J= Jungle seeds C=Chilten T= Thompson & Morgan (All uk suppliers)

At this date 21 Feb 2006 I have 5 germinations.
My reasons for sowing these seeds was to test the viability of seeds from different suppliers. The whole thing is the subject of a massive excel spreasheet.
In the past I have grown some of these as annuals and composted the mush in late December but this year I will try an overwintering.
There is nothing particularly rare about the seeds I am trialing but as a result of this forum I have got a few others on the way.
