Default Advice On How To Care For Fruiting Bananas

I have a banana plant (supposed ice cream banana) which has fruited. This is the second banana plant I have gotten to fruit, but unfortunately the pseudostem of the first one toppled over and died before the fruit matured (that one was a rajapuri). It was also constantly under attack by insects. I would like to prevent any issues with this one if possible. The banana that is fruiting this time is propped up on a nearby palm tree, so it is almost impossible for it to fall to the ground, but if you guys have any advice on what I can do to ensure its survival and keep insects away from the bananas, I would greatly appreciate the advice.
