Kubali,
My condolences. Somewhere on bananas.org years ago pitangadiego talks about his Ae Ae that up and died for no apparent reason overnight. I had seen this plant in his yard maybe two weeks prior. The plant was in great shape and Jon is a skilled horticulturist. So you should feel no shame in the loss of your plant. It is a stickler for cultural conditions and even then, it appears that the systemic disorder that causes its variegation also causes occasional untimely demise.

In our environment: filtered sunlight.
