I have never considered acidity or read much about it while raising my Banana trees so you got me to doing a Google on it and found this:
"Acidity Banana trees tend to prefer soils with higher acidity, such as a pH of 5.5 to 7. The acidity levels help the trees absorb potassium, which they pass on to their fruit." Source: What Are the Ingredients in Soil for Banana Trees?
