Smile Re: New growth smaller after winter

Here's my take.....for plants that have not been pushing leaves(actively growing) all winter
The first few leaves to push from the plants are "last years" leaves. The smaller newer ones are are the leaves that developed over winter during the slow/no growth period that are in line behind the "last years" growth.
And since they have developed under less than ideal conditions they will be smaller, once your growing season gets going they will sort themselves out.

Keep in mind that there is always a new leaf forming in the corm/pstem and just like birth when it's time it's time regardless of size. They can be a chunker or a preemie

Of course this is only my take, some of mine do it also when overwintered inside my home in containers under less than ideal conditions.
I will post pics once I see some.
