Return to disaster
Our in previous years so reliable house sitter has completely neglected watering our
house plants for the whole duration of our 61/2 weeks absence.
Result: The small oleanders dropped off all the mature leaves but the emerging ones
are still there. The wandering Jews are still alive but shrivelled and the ornata you can
see here:
The new, green leaf was still rolled up, when new water came to the rescue
and all will surely recover
Largely unaffected, but probably not growing as well as they should have, were a
miniature palm and the two quat, which were not subjected to the cold tolerance
test in our neighbour’s unheated sun room.
