Now that it's propped up, I say look for the next cigar leaf, or mark any leaf already emerging with a marker. If you see growth in the next week, let 'er keep going. If you go a week or more without any additional growth you may want to consider cutting back to the bend point to remove dead/dying tissue and make sure there is a clear path for new growth.
