I'm used to brown banana plants in the winter. Some of my white sapote I've planted/grafted over the past five years have become quite productive and produced very good fruits. They withstood one morning last winter down to 22F with essentially no damage, though I was worried. I'm hoping we don't get anything colder than that. I have 25 varieties now and would hate to lose any of them but I could take some cuttings if I knew a hard freeze is coming.
