Ages ago I read the directions to bake bread in a paper bag
Sound nutty? Sure but what a cool way to give a hostess gift--pan and bread together. Sadly I failed to save the links or lost them on a fried HD and my best searching leaves me clueless. (Yes, I know I read directions--I'm old but I vividly recall them.)
Has anyone ever done it? I suspect it's a 2 bag system with the inner one saturated in oil or melted butter so the paper doesn't stick; that's how you do Panettone. Only I want to do something savory in a "bag".
