Default Re: Growing Pineapples from Seed

2) I would think they wouldn't. If you want true to the mother plant, plant the top or another sucker. Where I live, a lot of people grow white pineapple, aka Sugarloaf, and yellow ones. I've been told that if you mix varieties in the same area, which I do, you get seeds because they may have been cross pollinated. Otherwise they are seedless. Not all of mine get seeds, but when they do, I'm guessing the seeds are from 2 varieties, and not true to type. Could get some interesting hybrids maybe?
