You could totally keep them indoors in winter , and not too wet as I'm sure we've all learned the hard way in winter. ANd then keep them outside for summer, but be sure to give them filtered light for a few days or week until the get acclamated to sunlight as they will burn easily. Funny, I think it has been too hot here for bananas lately, my new leaves are burning on the edges even with lotsa water and humid conditions....Best of luck!
