As requested I am introducing myself to this banana forum.

My name is Rick and I reside in Vancouver Wa. About 5 years ago I picked up a little banana plant at Home Depot. I don't know what it is but it has become my little pet project and I have given pups to lots of friends.

Anyway last year I started reading up on banana trees to learn more about them. My plant is doing quite well in the Pacific NW and I thought if I take good care of it and protect it through the winter maybe it would produce some fruit. Right now I would say it is over 15 ft tall and growing like a weed.

Is there anyway I can put up a picture of it and one of you experts tell me what kind of variety it is?

Thanks
