The ripe ones I've eaten were OK, more starchy than a grocery store Cavendish and not quite as good. Cooking brings our their best. Cooked they are excellent, with great texture and flavor with a nice touch of acidity to balance the sweetness. (Thanks to BadPun for the Ae Ae fruits.
