Default Fertilizing musa here in AZ

Here in Phoenix, we can get a bit cool during the winter, sometimes with freezing temps (Im zone 9b). These rarely last long enough to do more than minor damage.
The other evening, the local TV "garden guy" recommended stopping fertilizing frost tender plants this week. Got me to thinking about my bananas. Personally, Im inclined to keep up my regimen (biweekly with half strength peters 20-20-20), but wanted to get some input from other growers. Do you stop fertilizing in the Fall?
Thanks,
Diver
