Tree Sculptures
Tree Sculpting
The artistic talents of Vietnam people expresses itself in the many forms of their relations to horticulture.
This thread is dedicated to samples of sculpture of in-ground trees, as opposed to the shaping
practiced in potted trees and shrubs, which is evident in my thread of “Potscaping”.

This first example does not strictly speaking comply with ‘in-ground’ trees, but the single pot is
not a significant part of the image and the trees are certainly big enough to count in that category.
What is particularly interesting, is that the various shoots of this tree have been re-fused (grafted?)
with each other repeatedly to form an intricate pattern.

The type of shaping of life trees or shrubs as represented here in this coffee pot can
often be seen in forms of animals and dragons.

An obviously ancient palm tree like no other, I have ever seen, especially
the bottom part of it.

This fellow appears to have bee transplanted from a pot recently.
