Default Re: Sourcing loquat varieties

Does anybody know what cultivars were available in the US over 50 years ago?
Wild guesses, anybody?

update: someone was nice enough to turn me on to an old book, circa 1963, titled "A History of Subtropical Fruits and Nuts in California".

It's available for download from: http://websites.lib.ucr.edu/agnic/bu...utterfield.pdf

It's about 15MB in size & a very informative read. (for California folks, at least).
