I did plant two loquats that were probably of seedling origin. After a hurricane one died and the other remained sickly and would not grow and seems to have disappeared. They were in a pear orchard that from time to time does get fireblight so it is possible that along with being weakened by storms they became suceptible to fireblight. The other 4 loquats at other locations on my 8 acres show no sign of illness.
