And in My experience, Ice Cream bananas have impressive cold tolerance. Mine Survived hurricane Irene (probably gusts up to 60mph in my yard) which shreeded my Basjoos, but only damaged the emerging leaf on my Ice cream banana. Wow! 60mph is pretty fast, although we can get faster gusts here. But if I plant it in a protected spot, it should be no problem. I plan on getting Ice Cream as well, and maybe I should take a look at Saba given I have another protected spot in my yard. It would look really good by the pool!
