Nice looking Ensete!

Nucci60- The reason they aren't in the ground is because last fall and this summer we did some construction and landscaping. Now I need to locate a good spot for a permanent basjoo! The problem is this part of NJ, unlike what most people picture as the Tollbooth State, is very heavily wooded, and we have giant trees everywhere creating lots of shade. Finding a spot with full sun is tricky, and the best we have is square on the new patio!

But I should try next spring- they didn't do well at all being stored in a warmish basement, only one survived and that is still small, taking a long time to recover! Probably be safer in the ground under 3 feet of snow!
