I am very sorry to hear that Bernd. I also bet the corm should be ok,even the meristem may still be ok and show new growth with warm weather! Last snow was about the same as the first we got in December and my IC was only slightly more burned after it. Maybe if you hadnt cut away the dead parts before the snow(of course we didnt expect snow that late and with the great weather we had been having!!!!),it would have done better for you! I didnt cut away anything but i had no rot on my IC so far and all dead tissues have dried up.

I wish your California Gold starts growing again very soon!!!
