It is more or less the same procedure to Sarawak and Sabah with research permits. On average one can count some US 250 per day for mission expenses. To remote areas for only one destination should calculate at least ten days. For example I have been over there altogether some six months on the field with three different expeditions.
Central Borneo is heavily infested by malaria, dengue fever and several other tropical diseases. Also there are number of huge tiger leeches.
