Default Re: Musa sanguinea ???

Musa sanguinea is an extremely rare plant, it is highly unlikely that you have that plant. It is currently known only from a small population China, and even those plants may not be the original plan described. The best way for us to help you is to show us a photo of our plant. The description you give is very general and does not help very much. It is possible you have M. rubinea though, it is in cultivation. M. rubinea looks somewhat similar to M. mannii, and the inflorescence may be erect, pendant or in between. It also have very similar petiole wings to M. mannii which are rather distinct.

These 2 photos are of my M. rubinea which I had flower some 4 years ago.

This is of M. mannii, but the ruffled petiole wings are very similar to M. rubinea. Does yours look like this at all?
