FYI, although it is an extremely common description, even from very high level sources and publications, the notion of a division between banana and plantain is false. It is often misleading and confusing, and when not it is rarely helpful. Plantains are a very specific genetic group of bananas, but that is all. It is akin to making a distinction between bananas and Cavendish bananas. There really is even no clear difference in use, as whether a banana is cooked, eaten raw, or used in another fashion, depends primarily on cultural use which can vary greatly.
Thanks, Gabe
Sorry the misleading ,always love all you answers !
So I can call them Draft Orinoco is that mean there is one that is tall?I got one from going bananas last fall is about 6ft tall now..
One more thing I cooked two of the fruit from the bunch and is definitely plantain..
