I moved one the other day. I'm not kidding when I say I could hardly move it - it must weigh close to 500 lbs. It's rather tall, about 8 to 10 feet. I managed to get a huge portion of the corm with it.

It didn't wilt after I moved it to it's new position and planted it.

I also was able to get 2 pups from it, one of which is in a pot, the other I moved to a place to be in the ground.

I found that leaving the dead trunks (cut to about 4-6 feet) from winter freeze damage seems to have aided in their growth this year (a constant water source) because all the previous summers I had removed all the dead trunks and they grew very very slow. So it's partially an experiment to see what happens. And now I am convinced to leave a majority of the dead trunks for the new season to help grow the pups.

This year they've managed to outgrow the Orinocos.
