Welcome lea. I leave my plants in the ground year round. Some years they do fine some years they are knocked to the ground but come back. I agree with the other members after last frost. This is a guess if its potted and growing good then it want hurt to wait and make sure you are safe. I am betting its safe here but I have been wrong. I dont know anything about this plant. Ty Ty is the only site that I have noticed us these names Carolina King and Texas Star. I know how a lot of members feel about them. We more than likely know these as something else.
