Sandy I was joking about Marks Bananas being viruses
So I'm in trouble now.
I have had virus problems with Basjoo on two plants , I've no idea where the virus came from and in my Garden it did not spread to other Basjoo , even when I planted more Basjoo in the same spot they were fine.
Virused variegation is stable and none transferable on some plants , with other plants it's just a killer like Canna virus. Real varigation starts at the point where the leaf joins the main central vein and comes out from there , atleast that's how I believe it works. Perhaps others have a better definition.
