Default Re: Attention: ORCHID GROWERS!

it's really nice to see and hear about every ones Phials doing so well i my self have 5 plants all in various stages of bloom

by the way Patty thats a lovely color i don't have any quite that shade of Pink

i Have a particularly lovely Purple one thats sending up a new stalk now it already has an old one thats also has buds swelling on it so this will be my first phial to have a double spike I'm told this is rare any one ever have that happen before

Ps i thought i would add that if your Phailnopsis arnt bloomin the best way to force them is in the fall when the night time temps are at 60 deg put them in a small bathroom open the window at night and close it in the morning do this for three weeks and i garinty they will throw a bloom spike
they need 60 at night and 80 in the day so if this bath gets sun it will be warm enough be sure not to exspose the plants to any direct sun light they only take 1500 cd light which is vary low full sunn can be 9000cd and higher
