I've uploaded two photos of the unidentified fat banana to my image gallery. I'm not sure how to direct anyone there, but it's under jbclem.

The banana was overripe when it was given to me so storing in the fridge probably didn't make much difference. The only information I have is that it's from a tall banana plant in Manhattan Beach, Ca. and produces fruit all year round. Manhattan Beach is in the Santa Monica Bay, at Los Angeles. So not much heat for ripening this time of year.
