Default Preserving leafs

Anyone done it? I would love to save a couple large DC leafs.
I found this video Preserving Leaves for Crafts - Better Homes and Gardens Basically just mix a solution of glycerin and water and let the leaf absorb it up. Wouldn't the large leaf end up just dripping all its water out thus ruining the solution? Maybe I could use one of those food saver vacuum sealers?
