Wow! Didnt know there were theatrical superstitions too! Guess superstitions are just everywhere

. Even Welsh miners had a superstition that carried over into America. Tommyknockers. Prior to a cave-in, the timbers produced a knocking sound. There were those who believed it was caused by elf-like creatures attacking the miners. Others (especially the Welsh) believed it was the ghost of an old miner trying to alert the other miners to impending disaster. In America, Welsh miners would refuse to go to work in new mines until they were certain the Tommyknockers had already arrived to watch over them. In fact, there was an American mining company that actually gave into their superstitious demands.
Great stuff for Halloween but I dont think I could ever be superstitious about all that junk (knock on wood)

Anyway, back to looking for my rabbit's foot.... Gotta be here somewhere
